What this is
CalcSpark is a set of small tools that each do one thing: turn a CSV into an Excel file, translate a column letter into a number, build an amortization schedule, write a COUNTIF formula with the quoting right. Each fits on one page, needs no explaining, and works the first time.
Why it exists
Most of these tasks have an answer online, but it is buried under a 1,500-word tutorial, or it wants you to create an account, or it uploads your file to a server you know nothing about. These tools exist because a thirty-second job should take thirty seconds.
How it is built
- Everything runs in your browser. There is no server side. Files you drop are read, transformed and written back on your own machine — they go nowhere.
- No third-party libraries. No CDN, no external scripts. That is what lets the site enforce a strict security policy: by default the page is allowed to load nothing from outside.
- No account, no limits. Nothing to sign up for, nothing to pay, no quota.
- In four languages. Every tool exists in English, French, Spanish and German, with the conventions that go with each: decimal comma, semicolon separators, localised Excel function names.
What the site does not do
It gives no financial, legal or tax advice. The financial calculators do arithmetic: they tell you what a loan costs, not whether you should take it. They model no tax, insurance or fees, and each page says so.
